By default when you open the attachment, it opens in Full Screen Reading View, which means the attachment will take up the entire screen and you won’t see the ribbon, menus and tabs. If you’ve received an email with a Microsoft Word file attached, you can configure how it will open in Word with a few clicks.In the case where you open an attachment and it appears as a bunch of gobbledygook or binary code with zeros, ones or boxes, simply click the “Undo” button, which is the curvy left-point arrow on the Quick Access Toolbar. It won’t “find” the un-attachable item in the browse window if it isn’t something you can attach. When browsing to the attachment to add to a Word document, you won’t have to worry whether the item is something Word will allow you to open.
